Youth Technology Network’s (YTN) STEAM Engine is an integral component of the company’s Mission to inspire students to “Think, Grow, and Achieve”. The Steam Engine has sufficient resources to capably host programs that capture imagination, generate curiosity, and build confidence. Onboard resources support virtual and hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) programming.

The STEAM Engine, a 34’ renovated recreational vehicle (RV), provides an environment to train up to 20 students, in a duel powered – environmentally controlled – multimedia training environment for short and extended training durations. Because its mobile, YTN offers STEAM training in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

STEAM Engine design features
• Flexible workspace to accommodate hands on STEAM exploration, to include but not limited to 3D printing, hands on STEM activities, computer-based activities and more.
• Accommodates 10 high performance all-in-one computer systems.
• Teacher workstation with Bluetooth connectivity to 6 student assist monitors.
• Centralized 50” monitor to project teacher-controlled instruction and videos.
• Workspace to accommodate up to 20 students and numerous teachers simultaneously.
• Environmentally controlled cabin to support year-round training.
• Onboard power generation system.
• Lockable storage compartments.
• Dimmable lighting.
• Safety exit and onboard safety equipment.
